Autoshine Detailing Studio ("Autoshine", "we", "us") operates this website from 88 Triq Il-Kurunell Mass, Tarxien TXN 2564, Malta. This notice explains how we process personal data when you visit the website, contact us, request a booking or purchase products.
Who controls your data
Autoshine is the controller for personal data it collects through this website and booking enquiries. Contact us at [email protected], on +356 7933 7006, or at the address above.
Data we process
- Booking enquiries: your name, telephone number, optional email address, vehicle details, requested service, preferred date and notes.
- Orders: product, cart and checkout information processed when you continue to Shopify. Shopify and the payment providers shown at checkout process the information needed to fulfil and pay for your order.
- Communications: information you send by email, telephone, WhatsApp or social media.
- Technical information: IP address, browser/device information, request logs and security information generated when the website is accessed.
- Administration: authentication and security records relating to authorised website administrators.
Why we use it
We process information to respond to enquiries and take steps requested before entering a contract; perform and administer orders or services; meet accounting, tax, consumer-protection and other legal duties; and pursue legitimate interests in securing, maintaining and improving the website, preventing abuse, keeping business records and handling claims. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Booking requests and WhatsApp
The booking form constructs a message and redirects you to WhatsApp. The website does not save the completed form before that redirect. You decide whether to send the message in WhatsApp. If you do, Meta/WhatsApp processes the communication under its own terms and privacy information, and we receive the information in the resulting conversation.
Facebook content
The Projects page may retrieve public posts from our Facebook Page or display Meta's Facebook Page Plugin. Opening a post or interacting with an embedded plugin may allow Meta to receive technical information and use cookies under its own policies.
Who receives information
Information may be shared only as necessary with hosting and IT providers, Shopify, payment and delivery providers, WhatsApp/Meta when you choose those services, professional advisers, and public authorities where required by law. Some providers may process information outside Malta or the European Economic Area using safeguards required by applicable data-protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the relevant enquiry, service, order, legal obligation, security purpose or claim. Order and accounting records may be retained for the period required by Maltese law. Enquiry records that do not lead to business are periodically reviewed and deleted when no longer needed.
Your rights
Subject to the GDPR and applicable Maltese law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. Contact us using the details above. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
You may also lodge a complaint with Malta's Information and Data Protection Commissioner at idpc.org.mt.
Security and updates
We use proportionate technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet service is completely risk-free. We may update this notice as the website or our legal obligations change. The date above identifies the current version.
